animals. This phylum includes 5000 species . They contain pores. They
are mostly found in marine water and
only a few are found
in freshwater . Body
is usually cylindrical
.The scleroblasts secrets
spicules while sponge fibres are
secreted by spongioblasts. They feed
by filtering small organisms from from
water . They cant move and
attached to a substrate. . Respiration and excretion
occur through diffusion with the water current
passing through the body.
